DUCTCOOL™ - GAS COOLING IN DOWNCOMER DUCTS
The gas cooling can also be performed inside the downcomer duct after top cyclones in order to control the gas temperature.

COOLING CONTROL® DUCTCOOL™ systems use double fluid (air water mix) nozzles in the lances. The double fluid spray nozzles are characterized by uniform droplet size and distribution regardless of water flow, generating an ultra-fine mist of single size droplets which greatly enhance evaporation rates, even at maximum water delivery. The reason of short reaction length is purely due to smaller atomized droplets which create more surface contact area between hot gas and water drops resulting in faster heat transfer and quicker cooling.

DUCTCOOL™ new generation high performance lances provide quick and fast full evaporation within short reaction lenghts, narrow diamaters where gas flow is much faster than cooling towers.
 
DUCTCOOL™ - GAS COOLING IN DOWNCOMER DUCTS
To achieve finer droplets, the compressed air is fed to lances from a seperate air pipe line that pressurised water and compressed air strike each other just before the spray nozzle orifice. The dynamic energy of the compressed air creates a great scissor or hammer impact effect on the water that breaks into very finer pieces, thereby generate ultra fine spray at the exit of the spray nozzle.
