RAWCOOL™ : WATER INJECTION TO VERTICAL ROLLER MILLS
Vertical roller mill circuits can grind the raw meals having up to 15% moisture content and prone to vibrations due mainly to unstable material bed on the grinding table.
RAWCOOL™ water injection systems are the remedy to stabilise the material bed during grinding operation by spraying certain amount of water towards to rotating table.
Depending on the seasonal and material characteristics, the dryness level of the raw material inside the vertical roller mill may lead instable bed on the grinding table. As an example, extreme dry material is slithery thus having a flying tendency. For this reason, water spray is applied on the ground material adding some moisture in order to keep it longer in between grinding rollers and table.
Water injection to vertical roller mills systems are easy to operate, install and economic. All components on the spray system structure are pre-assembled and pre-wired. It can be operated stand alone as open circuit or configurated directly CCR as closed circuit basis which operates according to input signals of vibration figures.
The precisely selected nozzles ensure proper atomisation while providing homogenious spray across the table width by adequate water flow rates, not excessive. Thus, the risk of sludge or agglomerate formation is eliminated. As a result, the ground materials get more sticky creating more stable material bed after water spray, thus providing improved grinding efficiency and reduced vibration.
