DUCTCOOL™
DUCTCOOL™ : GAS COOLING IN DOWNCOMER DUCTS
The gas cooling can take place in the downcomer duct in between top cyclones and ID fan.
DUCTCOOL™ systems work pricinciple to cool the gas is based on using the compressed air and pressurised water mixture which is called as DUOCOOL™.
DUOCOOL™ spray principle is that the pumped water is hit by the compressed air inside the spray lance just before the spray nozzle orifices. The dynamic energy of the compressed air creates a scissors effect on the water which is broken into very finer droplets, thereby it generates ultra fine spray at the exit of the spray nozzles.
DUOCOOL™ achieves full evaporation of the sprayed water within short distance that the gas velocity is minimum 8.0 m/s due to relatively narrower duct diamaters available. Spray operation and gas cooling are entirely close loop control system to adjust and manage the gas cooling without human interface.
DUOCOOL™ spray principle general properties are;
Fluid : Double Fluid (generally water and air)
Principle : Double Fluid Mix, no return
Pressure : ~7 bar air - ~7 bar water
Control : PLC
