TOWERCOOL™
TOWERCOOL™ : GAS COOLING IN GAS COOLING TOWERS
One of the most preferred places to cool down the hot gas in a cement plant before the bag filter or electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is the standalone gas cooling towers.
Such gas cooling towers are also a part of the complete process in the iron and steel, chemical, fertilizer mining, incineration and power generation industries for the same or similar reasons.
The TOWERCOOL™ solutions are supplied in three principles according to enduser process requirements;
MONOCOOL™-Standart Principle
MONOCOOL™-Hybrid Principle
DUOCOOL™ Principle
All solutions are close-loop PLC controlled in order to achieve the required gas temperature reduction within the certain evaporation lenght without having the wet bottom problem under the gas cooling tower. The PLC incorporate leatest technological advances where microprocessors enable incomparable control of the system, user friendly operation, reability, close loop control and governing almost all components automatically.
MONOCOOL™-Standart Principle :
All the spray lances in this principle are based on return-flow lances that the pumped water is returned back prior to spraying according to gas temperature and volumes. The return ratio is automatically adjusted by control valve at the pump station level.
Fluid to spray : Single Liquid (generally water)
Principle : Return-flow (spillback, flowback, backflow)
Pressure : ~38 bar
Control : PLC
MONOCOOL™-Hybrid Principle :
The return-flow and non-return-flow lances are used at the same time on the same spray rings. The water or liquid doesnt return back in the case of the non-return flow lances. The multi orifice nozzles in the lances develops finer spray droplets which allows shorter evaporation length inside the tower. The Hybrid technology is then positioned in between Monocool™-Standart and Duocool™ solutions.
The control valve to manage the return-flow lances are still available in Monocool™-Hybrid units.
Fluid to spray : Single Liquid (generally water)
Principle : Return-flow and non-return-flow (spillback, flowback, backflow and none)
Pressure : ~38 bar
Control : PLC
DUOCOOL™- Principle :
The spray development in the DUOCOOL™ systems are achieved by two fluids generally water and air. The principle is that the pumped water is hit by the compressed air inside the spray lance just before the spray nozzles. The dynamic energy of the compressed air creates a hammer impact on the water which is broken into very finer droplets, thereby generates ultra fine spray at the exit of the spray nozzles.
The precision machined nozzles comply with the ultra fine atomisation of the two mixed liquids that lead minimum spray droplets achieveing the full water evaporation within the shortest possible reaction lenghts.
Fluid : Double Fluid (generally water and air)
Principle : Double Fluid Mix, no return
Pressure : ~7 bar air - ~7 bar water
Control : PLC
